To meet client requirements and maintain quality standards of our treated wooden poles, clients sometimes request pre-shipment inspections. These inspections serve as a critical step in the quality assurance process, allowing clients to verify that the products meet their expectations and adhere to industry standards before they are dispatched.
The pre-shipment inspections are typically conducted at the production plant.
This can be done either by the clients themselves, who may send their own representatives to oversee the process, or by an independent inspection company that has been chosen by the clients for their expertise and impartiality. These inspections usually encompass a range of important checks and evaluations, which include but are not limited to the following:
Verification of quality control certificates and manuals: This step involves reviewing all relevant documentation that certifies the quality management systems in place, ensuring that they comply with both international standards and the specific criteria set forth by the client.
Verification of instruments calibration certificates: Accurate measurements are crucial in manufacturing. This verification ensures that all measuring instruments used during production are properly calibrated and certified, thus guaranteeing the reliability of the measurements taken.
Spot visual inspection and metal tagging check: Inspectors perform a thorough visual examination of the products to identify any visible defects or inconsistencies. Additionally, metal tagging checks ensure that all products are correctly labelled and traceable.

Spot dimensional inspection: This involves taking precise measurements of various dimensions of the products, including top and bottom diameters as well as length measurements, to confirm that they conform to the specified dimensions outlined in the client’s requirements.
Impregnation check and conformity of chemicals: Verification of impregnation and chemical compliance: Inspections ensure that the correct chemicals have been used and that their penetration into the wood meets specifications and standards.
Checking the penetration of chemical into the pole, (15mm minimum). Moisture check: This inspection evaluates the moisture content of the products, which must comply with the applicable standards.

Strength test: A sample of columns is selected to pass the stress tests on the cantilever test bench. The maximum force required by the standards is applied gradually at the head of the pole and maintained for a few moments, then gradually released. At the end of the test, the pole must be intact.
Preparing the pole for cantilever test. Quantity check: Finally, a thorough quantity check is performed to confirm that the number of items being shipped matches the order.
