Once poles have been expertly manufactured and treated, the journey is not over. Proper storage and handling are paramount to ensure the integrity, safety, and longevity of the poles until they are ready for installation:

1.     Storage Guidelines: Store poles horizontally on level ground, with supports at regular intervals to prevent sagging.

2.     Spacing: Ensure adequate air circulation between poles to prevent moisture buildup and potential fungal growth.

3.     Ground Clearance: Poles should be elevated off the ground to safeguard against pests, moisture, and soil contaminants.

4.     Handling Precautions: Employ appropriate machinery or equipment, like pole tongs, slings, cranes, or a Bell Logger machine. For manual handling, the use of gloves is recommended.

  1. Avoid Damage: Be cautious not to scrape, drag, or drop the poles, as these actions can compromise their protective treatment and overall integrity.

  2. Manual Handling: When poles are handled manually, ensure teams are trained to use proper lifting techniques to avoid injury and minimize potential damage to the pole.

Improper storage and handling can degrade the pole's quality, reduce its service life, and potentially endanger workers or end-users.

Why It Matters to A2M Power Technologies

We pride ourselves on producing top-quality poles that stand the test of time. However, without proper storage and handling, even the highest quality products are susceptible to damage. We want to ensure that our partners have all the necessary knowledge to maintain pole quality from the moment it leaves our facility until it's securely installed in its destination.
